The research aims to estimate the economic efficiency and estimate the amount of waste and the deficit in the use of production resources for potato varieties grown in the autumn season 2021 within Baghdad governorate using the data envelopment analysis method(DEA), The research relied on cross-sectional data collected randomly, including 181 farms, The results of the technical efficiency according to the stability of the capacity returns showed that the Redlove variety achieved the highest average efficiency (0.97), while according to the variable capacity returns the Paradise variety achieved the highest average efficiency (0.98), while the Ghalia variety achieved the highest average efficiency (0.99) according to the capacity efficiency, The results also showed that Redlove and Fuji cultivars achieved the highest average economic efficiency of (0.91, 0.90), respectively, Among the results of the study is also the existence of an excess in the use of production elements, foremost of which is the element of seeds, The study recommends the necessity of benefiting from the experience of potato farmers in cultivating the crop, especially cultivars (Redolph Hamra, Paradiso and Ghalia), and directing farmers towards the use of productive elements in the quantities that achieve economic efficiency and their components, and not to waste in the use of these elements.

Despite the seriousness individual attempts made by some breeders to develop and improve methods of breeding and fattening to reduce costs, but most breeders follow the traditional methods of breeding and fattening their livestock, and this is what prompted me to do this study, A questionnaire for a sample of (100) breeders in Mahmoudia district (case study) for the year 2021, the study aimed to derive the cost function in long-run from the output of Cobb-Douglas production function, as well as deriving the supply function from the cost function in long-run derived from the Cobb-Douglas production function, and derivation the supply function From the production function estimated for Calves fattening projects, in addition to deriving the two demand functions for labor and capital Resources which use in the production process of Calves fattening projects, The cost function in long-run was estimated, and the results of the study showed that the demand for labor and capital in Calves fattening projects was up to (160.7) man /day for labor and (12,776.874) thousand dinars for capital. The displayed quantity of production is about (4040.77) kg, the study recommends the necessity of providing feed, especially concentrated feed, in the necessary quantities and qualities during different seasons by providing hybrid fodder crops such as fodder corn to obtain the desired weight gain.

The tomato crop is one of the most important daily consumer food crops that enters the consumer basket and its importance called for necessity Study it through a random sample consisting of (145) questionnaires, of which (75) are intended for farmers and (35) are designated for each of the wholesalers and (35) for retailers in the governorate Salah al-Din, and it is necessary to refer to the average number of dunams planted with the crop for the research sample (5.2) dunams, as the production of one dunam amounted to an average of (4.8) tons / dunam, and the average prices of the crop for the producer, wholesaler and retailer amounted to (382-504.4-701.7) dinars/ kg, respectively, the average absolute marketing margin between wholesaler - producer, retailer - wholesaler, retailer - producer amounted to (81.86 - 197.3 - 319) dina / kg, respectively, while the relative marketing margin between wholesaler - farms, wholesaler The retailer, the retailer-farmer (producer) amounted to (19.50%, 26.11%, 42.37%) respectively, and the profits of the retailer from the absolute marketing margin ranked first, while the profits of the wholesaler ranked second, and the marketing efficiency was measured, amounting to The average marketing efficiency according to the three laws of scale (1) amounted to (59.93%), For scale (2) it reached (65.41 %, 43.95%, 32.66%), and for scale (3) it reached (63.16%), it was concluded that it is low when compared with the marketing systems of the rest of the world. (319) dinars, while the profits of the wholesaler from the marketing margin averaged (197.3) dinars. The reason for this is attributed to the ability of the retailer to bargain without providing marketing services. There is scarcity and shortage in wholesale markets, and this in turn leads to many wholesalers monopolizing the crop and selling it at prices that suit them, as well as the necessity for the owners of wholesale offices to perform the necessary marketing functions (sorting, grading, classifying and packing) This study recommended opening new outlets for wholesale sales and expanding wholesale offices, as the study showed that there is a scarcity and shortage in wholesale markets, and this in turn leads to many wholesalers monopolizing the crop and selling it at prices that suit them

The importance of research is highlighted in seeking to increase the dunumah of yield, which leads to providing indicators for decision-makers in drawing agricultural policy and managing production resources in an efficient manner. The research problem is focused on the lack of knowledge of cucumber growers in the Kirkuk Governorate - Hawija district to know the optimal size of farms, which leads to a decline. Production on the one hand and high production costs on the other hand, and given that Iraq is one of the developing countries, it suffers from many production obstacles, including the high elements of economic resources such as seeds, fertilizers, control materials and pesticides or importing them from outside the country, and based on the research problem, it aimed to: estimate the optimal volumes For areas and production of the option crop in the research sample, estimating the proportion of economies of scale achieved for the crop farmers by calculating the elasticity of the average cost function and the function coefficient. The optimum sizes of areas and production for the cucumber crop in Hawija district were extracted by drip irrigation method through the cost functions in the long run and the cost flexibility and function factor of the cucumber yield were extracted in the research sample. )15,517( tons, and the optimum areas of this crop reached (13,453) dunums, so the farmers of the cucumber crop by drip irrigation method do not achieve the optimum volume of production, and this means that there is a deviation from the optimal size of the yield of the research sample and in light of the results reached, the study recommended the adoption of The experiences of the owners of efficient farms and benefiting from them in employing their expertise in inefficient farms in order to reach full levels of efficiency, the need to activate the role of the agricultural extension apparatus in training and directing farmers to adopt modern techniques in irrigation.
