Tikrit Journal for Agricultural Sciences (TJAS) does not accept manuscripts that fail to declare a statement on the protection of animal rights. Authors must state that their research has been reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or an Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC). This statement should appear either in the Materials and Methods section or in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript, and should include the registry number of the council certification where applicable.
If the study involves in vivo experiments, authors are required to follow the ARRIVE guidelines and revise their manuscript accordingly.
When experimental animals are used (all live animals are considered experimental when used in research), the Materials and Methods section must clearly describe measures taken to minimize pain and discomfort. Experiments should be conducted in accordance with:
-
The Guidelines of the International Animal Ethics Committee or an equivalent institutional body
-
Applicable national and local laws and regulations
All studies involving human or animal subjects must explicitly identify the review and ethics committee that approved the study. The Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts if there is any doubt about the ethical procedures followed.
