Abstract

The experiment was conducted in the unheated plastic house of the Department of Horticulture and Landscaping / College of Agriculture / University of Tikrit / agricultural season 2021-2022. To study the effect of nano-fertilization at a concentration of 0, 1.5, 3 gm.L-1 and cultivation with different sizes of plastic pipes with a diameter of 4, 6, and 8 inches on some chemical and quantitative characteristics of two strawberry cultivars, Fragaria ananassa Duch, Rubygem and Albion. The results showed that there were significant differences between The factors studied, as the 8-inch tube was superior in the concentration of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the leaves, reaching 1.7%, 0.17%, and 1.63%, respectively. And in terms of the average number of fruits, average fruit length, and average fruit weight, it reached 9.42 per plant-1, 34.29 mm, and 60.49 g, respectively. The cultivar Rubygem was significantly superior to the cultivar Albion in the concentration of nitrogen and potassium in the leaves, reaching 1.65% and 1.59%. The cultivar Albion outperformed the cultivar Rubygam in terms of the number of fruits, amounting to 8.10 fruits. Plant-1. As for the foliar spraying of nano-fertilizer, the concentration of 3 g L-1 was significantly superior in the percentage of the macronutrients concentration of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the leaves, reaching 1.74%, 0.23% and 1.61%, respectively. The quantitative growth indicators, which are the average number of fruits, average fruit length, average fruit diameter, and average fruit weight, amounted to 9.48 fruits. Plant-1, 36.33 mm, 23.69 mm, and 57.33 g, respectively
