Abstract

A field experiment was conducted in Sandy clay loam soil during the spring season 2023, in Habbaniyah district - Khalidiya District - Anbar Governorate, west of Iraq, located on the right side of the Nazim Habbaniyah project, to study the effect of irrigation management and the addition of polymer levels in the characteristics of the tip of gypsum soil.Irrigation was done after using 40%,50% and 60% of the available water, Then, polymer was added in (zero, 0.001 and 0.002 level) of the soil weight. The study’s processes were distributed in a factorial experiment according to a randomized complete block design (RCBD). Potato tubers were planted (purine class) in 15/1/2023 and the American evaporation basin (class A) was used in the irrigation time. The results showed that there was low Infiltration rate in the end of the season and for all processes comparing with the value before agriculture which it reached the highest value of 9.25 cm/h-1 when exhausting 40% and adding 0.002, the lowest value 5.81 cm/h-1 when exhausting 60% with no adding. While the highest coefficient of determination R2 between the cumulative Infiltration and time reached 0.9982 when exhausting 40% and adding 0.002 and low value of 0.9938 when exhausting 60% with no add.
