Abstract

The research aims to identify the most important obstacles facing agricultural extension workers in implementing extension programs in Salah al-Din Governorate in general, to arrange these obstacles in descending order according to percentage weight, and to determine the relationship between the level of obstacles facing agricultural extension workers in implementing extension programs and some personal characteristics of the respondents. The research included all agricultural employees who hold a preparatory certificate or above and who work at the headquarters of the Salah al-Din Agriculture Directorate and its affiliated agricultural departments, in addition to the guidance center in Salah al-Din, which numbers 30 agricultural departments, from which a simple random sample was taken, representing 17% of the total agricultural departments, which amounted to 5 agricultural departments. The number of agricultural employees in it reached 151. A random sample was chosen at a rate of 52%, so the total number of respondents became 78. A questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data through personal interviews, after measuring its validity and reliability. According to the research 's findings, agricultural extension agents in Salah al-Din Governorate faced moderate and growing Obstacles while putting extension programs into action.
